FAQ

  • What platform is used for video calls?

    Primarily FaceTime or Zoom. When you book your first session on Calendly, you can let me know if another platform would work better for you.

  • What language is coaching available in?

    English or Finnish.

  • What if I'm not an athlete, artist or coach?

    These coaching programs are best suited for individuals who strive for high level performance within their field or profession, have a demanding / high pressure leadership role, are enterpreneurs or coaches with a big purpose or do creative work. If you are unsure if coaching is a good fit for you, you can message me via the form below.

  • What if I'm in a different time zone?

    If you can find a suitable time for your first session on Calendly, go ahead and book it. Calendly should show available times in your local time. If you need more options considering your time zone please contact me directly (below) to discuss scheduling options.

  • What if I need to cancel?

    Cancellations must be made 24 hours before the start of the session, via Calendly or WhatsApp: no cancellation fee will be charged.

    Cancellations less than 24h: a cancellation fee of 89,00 € will be charged to compensate for the last-minute change. Client may discuss with Coach if they would rather use up one of the sessions included in the coaching program to compensate for the missed session, instead of paying the cancellation fee.

  • How do I prepare for sessions?

    Set yourself up in a quiet, comfortable space with no distractions. Make sure you have sufficient internet connection. It’s a good idea to have water available and if you want - something to take notes in. I recommend taking a few minutes throughout the day or before the start of the session to pause and reflect on what’s been going on, what is on your mind or what you’d like to work on. It’s also totally fine to come to a session without a clear goal in mind!

  • How do I pay for sessions?

    You can purchase sessions or coaching programs in the online shop. Game Grit uses Stripe to process your payment. If you’d rather pay via email invoice, make a request (below) before booking a session. Corporate customers: do not purchase coaching in the online shop - contact directly.

  • What happens in coaching sessions?

    Coaching is based on a confidential open conversation. We use questions and reflection to explore, set goals, learn and understand, and co-create solutions and ways for you to grow and develop your mental performance. Sometimes I might offer certain coaching techniques or exercises to help you shift your mindset or emotional state - but you always have the power to decide on the direction and approach of our conversation.

  • How old do I need to be?

    You need to be over the age of 18 to purchase coaching programs. If you are underage, please contact me directly first with the form below.

  • What's the difference between the coaching programs?

    All programs: are online via video calls, and are a confidential 1-on-1 coaching partnership & personal growth journey. The difference: number of coaching sessions, frequency of coaching sessions, extra resources & support provided, duration and depth of the coaching partnership.

  • Do I need to buy First session if I buy a program?

    If you have purchased one of the four coaching programs, you do not need to buy a First session separately. The “First coaching session” is available to be purchased separately for those who are completely new to coaching and need to have an initial session to decide which program to go with.

  • Is coaching confidential?

    Yes, 100% confidentiality. The coach reports nothing to no-one without a separate permit from you to do so. The coach always acts according to the ethics of the profession.

  • What is Mental performance in Sports?

  • What if my Company or Organization is paying?

    If your club or sponsor is paying for your coaching or you are looking for a coach for your employees, please contact me with the form on Business Clients page before booking sessions.

  • What is Phone support?

    Level 2-4 programs include Phone support in between sessions when necessary. You can call, text or leave a voicenote on WhatsApp, and I will get back to you as soon as possible. You can do this if something happens during the week that you’d like to share your thoughts on right away, or if you need quick perspective or thought provoking questions to maintain momentum.   • What are extra resources?

    Level 3 Big Shift program includes weekly extra resources that client can utilise if they wish. Coach will send a varying resource to you via email or WhatsApp - eg. a book or a podcast recommendation, extra thought provoking questions or a video with tips on a certain aspect of mental performance.

    In Level 4 Beyond Potential program, these resources are tailored to the specific client, to serve their unique needs during the week. These resources are optional for Client to use, not necessarily a significant component of the coaching partnership.

  • What is Recap & Review?

    Level 2, 3 and 4 programs include this extra resource during the last session of your coaching program. We will reflect on your growth process to further enhance the lessons and growth that are available to you, to make sense of the bigger picture and decide in a conscious way what you are taking with you and what you are leaving behind. This is one of the most important & valuable sessions in the program. We also discuss the coaching journey and our partnership - to close it in a healthy way or decide our next steps moving forward.

  • Why are prices only in EURO?

    Game Grit is based in Finland. Unfortunately, the Online Shop platform does not support previewing pricing in other local currencies. You can use currency conversion online (search on google) to confirm the price of coaching. When you make a purchase, your credit card company will automatically convert the currency and make the appropriate deduction from your account.

  • What happens after the program is finished?

    You are more than welcome to extend your coaching contract and continue your journey with me. I recommend continuing with a program that’s one level higher than the one you were just on. This will allow us to take the next step and dive a little deeper, whilst also providing you with more extra resources. If you’re happy with how far you’ve come with the sessions so far, we can end the coaching relationship and you get to keep applying what you’ve learnt so far!

  • What is VAT?

    When you make a purchase, the receipt should show that the price includes 24 % VAT. This is the Value Added Tax, required by Finnish laws to be included in the price. You don’t need to worry about it any more than that!
